Nursery
All babies are handled from birth and as soon as they are old enough babies are usually clinging to the doors of the cage to climb out to me. Rats are very social and as such babies are the most happy being housed with a same sex buddy. Therefore, I do require that babies are adopted in same sex pairs unless you have a lonely rat at home that needs a friend. Babies from different litters will happily be adopted together. Sometimes I also have babies from past litters or retiring rats available for adoption and they too could be adopted with a baby, check out our adoption page for available rats.
I try to keep my litter pages as up to date as possible and once you see a baby or babies you are interested in feel free to email me with any questions.
Babies will be ready to go to their new homes at approximately 6 weeks old and I will email those with babies on hold as it gets close to that 6 weeks to arrange for the pick up. Babies will be sent home with some food for a proper transition.
Adoption fees
standard coat/ears- $20
dumbo ears/velveteen/rex coat- $25
dwarf- $40
Discount of -$10 for a same sex pair
